Hello my beautiful readers!
We've made it to the end of yet another year. Every year when I sit down and reflect during this time there are so many things I have to be grateful for. Not to say that there weren't times that I doubted myself and felt low. There was plenty of that as you know from my last post, but even with all that having happened, I still have the people I love around me and so much more. With that being said, this year I want to be the best version of myself that I can be, and I think I've been holding myself back for quite a while. I hope that these goals I make are achievable and help guide me to becoming that better version of myself. I hope you guys find this helpful and maybe assist you in creating your own goals. Let's get into it!
1. Go the gym four to five times per week: Now for some people this might seem cliche and yes everyone has a fitness goal at the beginning of the new year, but for me this is not just for my physical health, but also for my mental health. Going to the gym releases all the tension and stress I hold on to and I always feel so refreshed after workouts.
i. As a sub-goal within this I also really want to try a variety of workouts instead of sticking to just one machine. I want to work on my arms, legs, core, etc.
2. Read four to five books per month: This year I haven't really prioritized reading even though it's something I love. I had the goal to read 50 books over the course of a year and I couldn't even reach half of that. I'm hoping that by reading more frequently I can get off my phone and social media more and hopefully clear my mind to focus on more important things that make me happy.
3. Post two to three times per week on this blog: Another thing I love doing is blogging. I like writing and sharing my experiences, thoughts, etc. with you guys. It's another thing I miss doing and want to make time for. However, I don't want to pressure myself to more than three times a week because of course school is my top priority, but maybe once or twice a week just give you guys an update of where I am, what I've been loving, etc. Whatever you guys wish to read about and a little bit of what I like to write about as well.
4. Monthly Budget of $60: As a college student it's so easy to blow off money in the wrong places, and if you know me I'm the most money savvy person there is. I hate spending money on things, especially when they're unnecessary. This upcoming year I want to be more strict by giving myself a limit. If I choose to spend it all in the first few days, then I'll have to deal without any for the rest. I want to work on saving money not only to pay for tuition, but also to take this skill on as I grow older and start paying my own bills.
5. Study for my classes everyday: Now this sounds a lot easier than it actually is. There are so many days that I decided to watch a show or just lay in bed on my phone rather than study. Obviously I know I need breaks, but succeeding in my classes is what I strive to do. It's my top priority and the thing that will matter in the long run. For each class, I want to spend one to three hours studying everyday to make sure I'm on top of my material. I want to set myself up for success.
I hope you guys enjoyed reading some of the goals I have for this year. Let me know a goal you have this year in the comments below! I hope you have an amazing day and ring in the new year with a lot of love and motivation. Look forward to another post sometime this week!
Stay young, stay beautiful, and Happy New Year!
