I'm currently sitting at my desk, listening to some Eric Bellinger, kind of procrastinating some Organic Chemistry work I should be doing.
These past few weeks have been very long. The first week especially had just been dragging on forever. I officially had my first mental breakdown of the quarter, so to treat myself, I decided to take the bus to Bellevue to see Uri: The Surgical Strike. Now, if you know anything about Bellevue, it is bougie to no extent. It's the home of Microsoft and very nicely dressed people, and of course Indians. Obviously I wanted to go to watch the movie, but I can't disregard the other side motives. They existed, haha.
Anyways, because this city is so nice, I also decided I wanted to dress up a little and look presentable while I'm out. So, that's what this post is about! Sadly, no I didn't have a date to this movie, but there's no shame in dressing up for yourself. Plus, this was my :You survived your first week of the quarter" reward.
I'll have a picture inserted, but basically I put on my favorite pair of black ripped skinny jeans. They're so comfortable and cute, and can be paired with everything. I paired it with a green plaid/flower printed short sleeve top, that was a little dressier than a normal shirt. Over it I threw on a grey cardigan, and for shoes I wore my brown suede ankle booties.
Now on to accessories! I decided to stack one plain silver ring and one ring with a circle design on my ring finger, which I got from Forever21. Then on my pointer and thumb I placed a gold ring on each finger, which I got from the Nordstrom Rack. I'm very much a simple, dainty jewelry person.
For my necklaces, I just decided to wear my plain gold chain that I wear everyday, as well as my simple silver chain that has the word Love on it.
Of course I rarely go anywhere without my gold watch. That's always on mt left hand.
Lastly, for my earrings I decided to keep it simple with small white gemstone looking studs. Something a little brighter then I would normally wear. This and the Love necklace were both also from Forever21.
Now moving on to make up. I didn't want to go too overboard since I was just going to get some coffee and see a movie. Plus, I decided to wear my glasses because I prefer having them on when watching a movie in the theater. I just moisturized my face with some Olay moisturizer. Then I patted some Lakeme 9 to 5 powder on to my face, with a little bit of pink blush.
For my eyes I put on a light brown base coating, added a hint of pink to my crease line, and dark brown to the corner. After blending those together, I finished off with some black eyeliner and black mascara.
I left my lips alone, just using some lip balm to keep them nice and moisturized.
Oh, I almost forgot. I spritzed a little of my One Direction One Moment perfume on as well as used my eyebrow brush to brush my eyebrows out.
Again, I didn't want to do anything too fancy because it's not as if I was going out on an actual date. I still did want to look nice and presentable though so I'm glad I took some efforts to clean up.
Before I went out, I topped my outfit with a long blue coat that falls to about my knees, which wrapped the whole look together.
The pictures of what my outfit and the accessorizes/makeup I used will be below if you'd like to see it.
I hope you guys enjoyed today's post. If you want to see more outfit ideas for class, dates, going out with friends/party, etc, let me know in the comments. I would love to share that with all of you. If you're interested in my thoughts about the movie Uri: The Surgical Strike, also let me know down below.
Other than that,
Stay young, stay beautiful, and have a pleasant weekend!
