Hello my beautiful readers!
I hope you all knew this was coming because if it's me, it's Bollywood. I think I'm going to keep this week's theme Bollywood because I have some Bollywood actors and actresses I want to talk about in the next post. Anyways, this year instead of the traditional Bollywood get together for new years with family friends we decided to get tickets for a New Years Party event in Bellevue, one of my favorite cities. There was food, a Bollywood DJ, lots of people, etc.
Let's get into the experience!
Just to start it off, usually I love a good New Years party, but this one was kind of disappointing. The first few hours were grueling to say the least. The appetizers were mediocre, no was was dancing, the people I was with were on their phones. It kind of felt like a bust and a waste of money. Things progressively got worse when the lady in charge of the event began signing. Oh god. This lady didn't have a terrible voice, but after the first 2 songs it got so annoying. On top of that she was butchering some of my favorite songs. I couldn't imagine anything getting worse than that, until dinner was served. I was starving since I hadn't eaten much that day, and after I tried some of this food, I didn't eat much there either.
Also, apparently one of my biggest pet peeves are people who are entitled and think there's no one above them. When we went to go sit back down at our table that we had been at for quite a few hours, some other people, adults, moved our things and had sat there. On top of that this man straight up accused us of sitting in their seats. I'm not really sure why I'm so protective over things like that, but it just made me angry.
What else? Bad food, bad music, no people around my age, no cute guys.
The music eventually became mediocre and that's when my sister and the friends I was with decided to go dance. That was the only fun thing about this whole event. Everything else was literally trash, and not worth the money we paid in the slightest. Anyways, we basically danced our way into the new year which put me in a better mood then before.
But wait. You can't have an Indian event without a creepy Indian guy, can you? While I was dancing I kept seeing this guy, no idea how old he was, but he just kept staring at me for an unnecessarily long time. Ya girl was just trying to bop to some good old Bollywood music, but literally every time I shifted my eyes this guy would appear. Now it would have been less creepy if this guy wasn't in his late early 30s, but unfortunately he looked like it.
When it did hit 12:00 a.m. my parents let me have a glass of champagne, which is better than wine, but not by much. That was the moment while we were dancing that 5 police offers showed up. What a way to top off the night.
All in all, I'm sad that we spent so much money on an event like this, but it's a lesson to never do that again. I'm also very thankful to have been with my family for New Years because there's no one else I would have wanted to start the year off other than them.
I'm so excited with all the potential this year has and I hope all of you are as well. If you want to see any new or old type of content please do let me know in the comments.
Until Friday, I hope you guys have an amazing week!
Stay young, stay beautiful, and let's make this a year to remember.
